Question Mark

What makes you different from other mystery shows/experiences?

Master Mystery Productions provides totally customizable experiences where we can tailor a show to fit your budget, audience size, venue, and so on.  A mystery from MMP also can be far more interactive with playing the game being just as important as watching a show.  Clients can pick a variety of themes from across space and time to make their show unique.  We’ve done shows about outer space, wildflowers, Old Hollywood, the Roaring Twenties, mining and UFO’s in the desert, and superheroes.  This way, a client will get a Master Mystery Production unlike any other!

What do you receive in a ready-made show? Custom show?

Information on the variations and types of shows can be found on the Show Packages page.

How long in advance do I need to book my show?

The latest we can easily accept shows is 3 months in advance in order to get the best preparation for your show. Custom shows must be done 3 months or earlier in advance, while ready-made shows are slightly more flexible. Contact us at mastermysteryproductions@hotmail.com or via the contact form on the Book a Show page in order to get details for your event.

What should I include in my message when I book a show?

Your message should include any theme ideas you may have for your show (i.e. 1920’s speakeasy, outer space, superheroes, 1940’s Hollywood, etc.), a date and time when you would like the show to perform (i.e. Saturday, August 8 at 7 p.m. or April 19th matinee show), a prospective venue, and any other details you may have regarding venue size, audience projections, or special requests.

Does my show need to be a murder mystery?

Not at all! A mystery is simply an unanswered question, so we can totally design a mystery without a murder in it. Several of our past shows are written specifically without murders anywhere such as Mutiny on the Sea Witch, a family-friendly pirate-themed mystery play, and Close Encounters of the Hairy Kind, a camping mystery play about the search for Bigfoot.

When are auditions for your next show?

Auditions for upcoming shows are always announced on the Master Mystery Productions Facebook page.  Each audition will receive a post on our Blog as well.  All pertinent information regarding trying out for a particular show will be there.
